Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar: Reviews & Ratings
One of the most incredible sushi I’ve ever had. Been to expensive, been to Japan, etc. This beats all. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. Love all the unique flavors of each item. I usually only eat sashimi but their sushi rice was even delicious lol. The customer service was also incredible. The waiters were close by to give recommendations and check on us without being intrusive. My absolute new favorite place.
Great sushi and hand-roll fresh from the chef’s kitchen. The kind of authentic original tastes you can only get in Japan or high end sushi shops in West or East Coast, now available close to home in Texas! Chutoro is to die for we ordered 4! Overall very recommended
My son and I love sushi. We came to Hatsuyuki for lunch. It was amazing! Carter said it’s the best sushi he’s ever had (he says that about every place), but I agree with him. Everything we had was wonderful. This isn’t your typical sushi spot with big rolls and lots of ingredients. It’s sashimi, nigiri, and hand rolls. The sushi we had was worth every penny. If we’re ever back in Frisco, we’ll be back!
Oh man what a lovely spot! We arrived around 5:15pm on a Sunday and got seated right away. Our server was very attentive and helpful explaining the menu. It’s quite amazing how fresh everything was considering we are in Dallas, Texas. Everything was amazing and rivaled the sushi we had in Japan! Would definitely recommend the hand rolls and whatever specials they are serving that day.
Highly recommend arriving right when they open if you want to avoid waiting. I arrived around 5pm on a Saturday evening, which is their dinner opening time, and was seated right away with no wait at all. By the time I finished eating around 6 to 6:30pm, there was already a line. The food quality is excellent, especially for the price. It is very worth it. I strongly recommend sitting at the bar so you can enjoy your food as it comes out piece by piece while watching the chef prepare everything. It makes the experience much more enjoyable. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the Today’s Specials menu. I enjoyed almost everything I ordered. The only items I probably would not order again are the kanpachi and uni, not because they were bad, just personal preference. I attached my receipt for anyone looking for ordering ideas. I would recommend ordering a variety from the daily specials and then adding a hand roll combo depending on how hungry you are. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back!!
The sushi here was excellent and so fresh. I ordered the kanpachili, hamachili, chuturo nigiri, and yellowtail nigiri. I liked how the hamachili had a good amount of spice to it. The kanpachili had a very refreshing taste to it. I loved the topping on the chuturo and how fatty it was. Overall, the service here was fantastic. I would def come back here! This is one of the best sushi spots I have been to in DFW!
Unreal. This is thee sushi hidden gem of Texas. Been here twice now and felt obligated to leave a review (even though we have waited over an hour to get seated here and selfishly don’t want it getting even busier ) Quality of fish is top tier. Flavor profiles in sashimi dishes are one of a kind. In line if not better than Namo for me. The hamachili and spicy tuna hand rolls are MUSTS.
Its very good, fresh fish. It is an made to order style and they deliver each individual order one by one for you to experience the sushi or sashimi. Store is very clean, bathroom artistic. Servers nice and attentive. Note may have to wait in line as crowded.

The highlight here is the remarkable freshness of the fish — a feat not easily matched outside of Japan’s top sushi destinations. The chutoro, praised by many patrons, melts effortlessly with a rich, buttery texture that leaves you craving more. Equally impressive is their perfectly seasoned sushi rice, often overshadowed at other places but here it complements the fish impeccably, rounding out each bite with subtle sweetness and the right touch of vinegary tang.
